EVENTS
Both Salmon and Sturgeon events are Unisex Open.
INDIVIDUAL: Individual medals will be awarded in each category (salmon or sturgeon) judged by the longest aggregate catch of all fish caught by the angler.

SCORING
For tournament purposes, the size of the fish will be determined by its overall length with the cumulative length of all fish being considered the largest. The overall length of the fish is the distance in centimetres between the tip of the nose and the fork of the tail with the easuring tape following the middle of the fish. All salmon and sturgeon will be measured by both length and girth. The girth is the measurement around the body of the fish at its largest point excluding the fins. Note: In the event that there is a tie in the overall length of a winning fish the largest girth will determine the winner. All measurements will be done by one of the official tournament guides. In the unlikely event that there is a tie in both length and girth multiple winners will be declared.

INDIVIDUAL EVENT: The participant whose fish (Sturgeon or Salmon) caught throughout the day combine to the longest score will be the winner.

TEAM EVENT: The team of two whose fish (Sturgeon or Salmon) caught throughout the day by both participants combine to the longest score will be the winner.

“CATCH OF THE DAY” EVENT: The catch of the day will be the single longest fish caught in each event (Salmon and Sturgeon). The Sturgeon catch of the day will be awarded to the entire team that lands the fish. It will not count towards any one individual or team’s combined length in the other events. Participants can medal only once for the Catch of the Day, for example, if one angler catches three fish that would qualify as the top three fish caught, he/she will only be awarded one (gold) medal. The next longest fish would be considered as the silver medal catch.

The score of any team member disqualified shall not be included in any team score. Competition will be organized as a one day per species tournament. Competitors fish for each species (Salmon or Sturgeon) only once. Their catch is scored for both the Individual and Team events.
