Fort Langley, BC

Fort Langley is located just east of Surrey and west of neighbouring Abbotsford in the Lower Mainland's Fraser Valley, about 50 km (30 miles) east of Vancouver.

"Birth Place of British Columbia"
Often recognized and described as the "Birth Place of British Columbia," Fort Langley once served in the past as one of the most significant fortification and commercial centre in British Columbia helping the development and settlement of Europeans into the heartland of the province.

National Historic Park
Once used as a trading post for Hudson's Bay Company, Fort Langley is now a national historic park open to the public. Today you can visit the national historic park which has been maintained in its original fashion of the 19th century giving you a view into BC's past.

Island 22, Chilliwack. BC

Island 22 Park and Equestrian Centre is a semi-serviced park, owned by the City of Chilliwack and operated under a management agreement with the Fraser Valley Regional District.

The intended purpose of the park is to provide outdoor recreational opportunities for the residents of Chilliwack and area as well as tourists travelling through the Fraser Valley.

A day-use area, that includes picnic sites and a boat launch, is located adjacent to the Fraser River and may be used by the general public. The Fraser River is famous for its variety of fish which includes Trout, Salmon, Steelhead and Sturgeon.
